TeleRehaB DSS Showcased in a Real-World Setting at the Digital Transformation Summit 2026

From 13 to 16 April 2026, TeleRehaB DSS was presented in a dynamic, real-world environment during the Digital Transformation Summit 2026, held in Madeira. Bringing together over 200 participants from across the fields of healthcare, technology and research, the event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with a broad and diverse audience.

Rather than remaining within the boundaries of theory, TeleRehaB DSS was experienced in practice.

Throughout the summit, a dedicated stand allowed attendees to explore the system first-hand. Participants interacted directly with the platform and its functionalities, gaining insight into how AI-driven decision support can be integrated into balance rehabilitation processes. Demonstrations using the High Tech Kit enabled a tangible understanding of how the technology supports both clinicians and patients in real-life scenarios.

This hands-on approach was central to the project’s presence. By inviting participants to test and explore the system, TeleRehaB DSS moved beyond explanation and into experience — an essential step towards fostering adoption and trust in digital health solutions.

Bridging Technology and Daily Life

A key moment of the event was the workshop
“Living Well with Balance Disorders: Education and Self-Management”, held on 15 April.

Delivered by the local TeleRehaB DSS clinical team, the session focused on the practical dimension of rehabilitation. It presented the project’s tools and methodologies while offering guidance on self-management strategies for individuals living with balance disorders.

The workshop emphasised a fundamental principle of TeleRehaB DSS: innovation must not only enhance clinical decision-making, but also empower individuals in their daily lives. By combining clinical expertise with accessible tools, the project supports a more personalised and continuous approach to rehabilitation.

Strengthening Engagement and Visibility

The participation in the Digital Transformation Summit 2026 reinforced TeleRehaB DSS’s visibility within the digital health ecosystem and created meaningful opportunities for dialogue with stakeholders.

More importantly, it demonstrated how the project is evolving  from a technological solution into a practical, user-oriented system capable of supporting real needs in clinical and home-based settings.

As TeleRehaB DSS progresses, moments like this mark an important transition: from development to application, from concept to impact.
