Madeira Clinical Site Achieves Recruitment Target in TeleRehaB DSS

The TeleRehaB DSS project is pleased to announce that the Madeira clinical site has successfully reached its recruitment target of 100 participants, marking an important milestone in the project’s clinical implementation.

This achievement reflects the coordinated work of the Secretaria Regional de Saúde e Proteção Civil (SRS), IDEA – Institute for Development and Innovation in Technology in Madeira, and the clinical and research teams involved in the study.

The completion of recruitment represents a significant contribution to the progress of TeleRehaB DSS and reinforces the feasibility of implementing digital telerehabilitation solutions within routine healthcare settings. It also highlights the commitment of healthcare professionals and participants in Madeira to advancing innovative, patient-centred rehabilitation models.

Clinical activities at the Madeira site are now progressing accordingly, with participants at different stages of the intervention and follow-up assessments. These activities will contribute to the generation of clinical evidence on the use of the TeleRehaB DSS platform and its potential to support balance rehabilitation through digital technologies, remote monitoring and AI-enabled decision support.

This milestone underlines the relevance of scalable and evidence-based telerehabilitation approaches for European healthcare systems, supporting the transition towards more accessible, personalised and digitally enabled rehabilitation pathways.

TeleRehaB DSS would like to acknowledge the contribution of the Madeira teams and all participants involved in the study, whose collaboration is essential to the successful implementation of the project.
