About TeleRehaB’s Growing Consortium
TeleRehaB is a highly multidisciplinary consortium, now comprising 15 partners from 10 countries. Our clinical studies span five diverse regions, bringing a wide range of expertise and perspectives to our work in improving rehabilitation for individuals at risk of falls. By adding SRS to our team, we gain valuable insights from Madeira’s unique healthcare landscape, enriching our collaborative effort to make telerehabilitation more accessible and personalized.
Who Is SRS?
The Secretaria Regional de Saúde e Proteção Civil (SRS) is the health authority and policy maker for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, a unique ultraperipheral region of the European Union. As a key governmental entity, SRS manages the Madeira Regional Health Service (SESARAM-EPERAM), Health Administration Institute (IASAÚDE-IP-RAM), Regional Directorate of Health (DRS), and Civil Protection Regional Service (SRPC-IP-RAM). Together, these entities work to deliver high-quality healthcare services, including primary care, continued and palliative care, to communities across Madeira.
SRS ensures that healthcare in Madeira is accessible, efficient, and tailored to the needs of the population. They’re responsible for planning healthcare resources, supporting both primary care centers and hospitals, and fostering a connected healthcare network that prioritizes health gains for individuals, families, and social groups.
What SRS Brings to TeleRehaB
With SRS joining TeleRehaB, we gain a partner who is deeply embedded in regional healthcare provision and committed to innovation. SRS actively supports research, training, and the integration of new technologies across its healthcare services. By collaborating with TeleRehaB, SRS will help us refine and validate our telerehabilitation solutions, ensuring they meet the high standards of both patients and healthcare professionals. Their commitment to advancing healthcare through innovative solutions will be invaluable as we test and implement our programs.
A Shared Vision for Accessible, Effective Healthcare
TeleRehaB and SRS share a vision: to empower healthcare institutions with cutting-edge tools that enhance patient care and make healthcare more accessible to all. With SRS’s support, we’re one step closer to creating a future where telerehabilitation is seamlessly integrated into healthcare systems across Europe, benefiting countless individuals at risk of falls and improving their quality of life.
